Veteran punter Thomas Morstead announced on Instagram that he is signing with the 49ers. Drafted by the Saints in 2009, Morstead has had a lengthy career, including contracts with the Jets, Falcons, and Dolphins before his recent release from the Jets in May 2025. In 2024, he played all 17 games for the Jets, achieving 2,972 yards on 63 attempts and downing 19 punts inside the 20-yard line.
