Sean McVay Discusses Kyle Shanahan’s Accident

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is recovering from serious injuries, including a severe concussion and multiple broken bones, following a car accident on July 14. His friend and rival, Rams head coach Sean McVay, expressed relief that both Shanahan and the other party involved are okay and praised Shanahan’s positive outlook during recovery. Shanahan will coach on a limited basis during training camp. The two coaches, who began their careers together in Washington, have faced each other as NFC West rivals since 2017, with Shanahan leading their regular-season matchups 11-7.
