32 Days Until Claude Lemieux’s Opening Night

Claude Lemieux, who wore number 32 for the San Jose Sharks, is remembered following his tragic passing in May. Drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1983, he won four Stanley Cups with Montreal, New Jersey, and Colorado, and earned a Conn Smythe Trophy in 1995. After a brief retirement, Lemieux returned to the NHL with the Sharks in 2008-09, playing mainly in the AHL before officially ending his career. Known as a skilled agitator, he often provoked opponents while also standing up for teammates.
