Kaapo Kahkonen, one of eight players to wear the number 36 for the San Jose Sharks, began his professional hockey career in Finland before joining the Minnesota Wild in 2014. He was traded to the Sharks in 2022 after struggling with a .883 save percentage and 3.85 goals-against average in his final season with the team. Following his time in San Jose, Kahkonen played for several NHL organizations, primarily in the AHL, and is set to return to the Laval Rocket this season.
