Vincent Iorio Re-Signs with Rangers
The New York Rangers have re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Vincent Iorio to a one-year deal, as announced by GM Chris Drury. Iorio, 23, joined the Rangers last season after being claimed off waivers from San Jose and played six games without scoring. He has four assists in 36 NHL games and won back-to-back Calder Cups with the Hershey Bears. Iorio will compete for a backup role alongside fellow defenseman Scott Morrow and others after the team acquired Sean Durzi and Marcus Petterson in trades.
