The OHL’s Guelph Storm have acquired netminder Ben Hrebik from the Barrie Colts to enhance their chances of winning the Memorial Cup at home in 2027. Hrebik, who has a solid record of 47-21-8 and a .919 SV% over 79 games, plans to remain in the OHL for the upcoming season despite his commitment to Providence College. In other transactions, the Hamilton Hammers signed forward Max Ellis, while the Lehigh Valley Phantoms added Cooper Wylie and Mikael Robidoux. Barrie also traded for Dylan Tsherna from the Brantford Bulldogs as part of their ongoing roster adjustments.
