Zack Ostapchuk, originally drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2021, made his NHL debut in the 2023-24 season before being traded to the San Jose Sharks mid-2024-25. After a brief stint in the AHL, he returned to the NHL, where he played 59 games as a fourth-line center. While his offensive numbers were modest, his overall play earned him a four-year contract extension with the Sharks, solidifying his role as a key player. Ostapchuk is one of only two players in Sharks history to wear number 63.
