The Detroit Red Wings announced that goaltender Carter Gylander has signed a one-year, two-way contract after being a restricted free agent. Drafted in the seventh round in 2019, Gylander excelled at Colgate University, setting records and helping his team win an ECAC title. He had a successful season with the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins, posting a .942 save percentage in eight games. Gylander will compete for playing time amidst organizational changes and the presence of top prospects.
