Former Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson, a top-three draft pick and veteran of 1,228 NHL games, has joined The Ohio State University women’s hockey team as an associate head coach, succeeding James Wisniewski. With extensive playing experience and leadership, Johnson aims to strengthen the Buckeyes’ blue line after a challenging season, following their national championship wins in 2022 and 2024. He previously served as a pro scout for the Vancouver Canucks after retiring in 2025. Johnson, who played for the University of Michigan from 2005-2007, will work alongside head coach Nadine Muzerall.
