Sergei Brylin, a former New Jersey Devils player and assistant coach, is leaving the team to become the head coach of KHL’s Dinamo Minsk. The 52-year-old, a three-time Stanley Cup champion and 2023 Ring of Honor inductee, has nearly a decade of coaching experience in the Devils organization. Brylin takes over from Dmitri Kvartalnov, with Minsk aiming for success after two consecutive playoff quarterfinal exits. He brings KHL playing experience to his new role, despite being a coaching novice in the league.
