Veteran forward Phil Di Giuseppe is taking his career overseas after not playing in the NHL last season, signing a one-year deal with IF Bjorkloven in Sweden’s SHL. The 31-year-old previously signed a two-way contract with Winnipeg but was waived and spent the season with AHL Manitoba, where he recorded 15 goals and 20 assists in 72 games. Di Giuseppe, who has 302 NHL appearances and 81 points over nine seasons, aims to help Bjorkloven remain competitive after their recent promotion to the SHL. This new opportunity allows him to play a significant role as the team seeks to avoid relegation.
