Luke Philp, a Canmore native, has signed with the Calgary Wranglers for the 2026-27 AHL season after a year in Sweden with Färjestad BK, marking his return to the Calgary Flames organization. At 30, Philp achieved his goal of playing overseas and now looks forward to reuniting with a familiar team, having begun his career in the Flames system. His experience in Sweden highlighted a different style of play, emphasizing skating and puck possession. He is set to relocate to Calgary ahead of training camp.
