The Philadelphia Flyers and defenseman Jamie Drysdale have agreed to a four-year, $26 million contract with a $6.5 million average annual value, avoiding arbitration. Drysdale, who set career highs last season with eight goals and 32 points, will become an unrestricted free agent after the 2029-30 season and is now the highest-paid defenseman on the team. General manager Danny Briere expressed excitement about Drysdale’s development and future contributions, especially on the power play. The Flyers still need to address the contracts of remaining restricted free agents Nikita Grebenkin and Hunter McDonald.
