The 38-year-old has played for his hometown team since 2022, after a long career with the Philadelphia Flyers. Despite being linked to other teams, Giroux has been a consistent performer, accumulating 85 goals and 242 points in 327 games with the Senators. Ottawa has also made several offseason moves, including trading Brady Tkachuk and acquiring William Eklund.
