The Florida Panthers have signed goaltender Cooper Black to a two-year, two-way contract as they aim to maintain goaltending depth following potential departures of Sergei Bobrovsky and Daniil Tarasov in free agency. Black, 24, improved in his second NCAA season at Dartmouth, ending with a 13-8-8 record and solid stats. He played primarily with the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers last season, achieving a 25-13-4 record. Despite his progress, he is expected to start the 2026-27 season as the Panthers’ third-string goalie.
