Manny Malhotra has been appointed as the head coach of the Vancouver Canucks, replacing Adam Foote, who was fired after the team finished last in the NHL. This marks Malhotra’s return to the franchise where he previously played and served as a development and assistant coach. General manager Ryan Johnson praised Malhotra’s coaching abilities and leadership, particularly during challenging seasons. Malhotra, a former NHL player with 16 seasons of experience, aims to develop a competitive team as the Canucks begin their rebuild.
