The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Jake Richard to a two-year, entry-level contract, details of which remain undisclosed. Drafted 170th overall in 2022, the 21-year-old had a strong junior career, culminating in a standout sophomore season at the University of Connecticut with 15 goals and 43 points. Despite a dip in performance in his final year, Richard contributed to the Huskies reaching the National Tournament twice. He is expected to transition to the American Hockey League next season, likely starting with the Rochester Americans.
