Buffalo Sabres forward Sam Carrick will be sidelined for several weeks due to an arm injury sustained during a fight with Anders Lee of the New York Islanders. Acquired from the Rangers, Carrick had a promising start with five goals in 13 games. With the Sabres nearing the end of the regular season and their first playoff appearance since 2011, they are using Joshua Dunne to fill Carrick’s spot on the fourth line. Despite injuries, Buffalo has the depth to manage this loss effectively.
