The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled right winger Mitchell Chaffee from AHL Syracuse following injuries to Scott Sabourin and Brandon Hagel. Chaffee, who last played in the NHL over five months ago, previously made 66 appearances last season, contributing 12 goals and six assists. Currently, he stands out in the AHL with 55 points in 52 games and will likely play a fourth-line role until Sabourin and Hagel return. As a pending unrestricted free agent, these games may be crucial for Chaffee’s future with the team.
