According to Mike Garafolo, the NFL has confirmed that the salary cap for 2026 will be set at $301.2 million, a $22 million increase from last year’s cap of $279.2 million. This marks the first time the salary cap has exceeded $300 million, nearly doubling the $155.27 million cap from 2016. The growth is attributed to new broadcast rights deals and an increase in the revenue share for players. Tom Pelissero had previously projected the cap to range between $301.2 million and $305.7 million.
