The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without defenseman Kris Letang for at least four weeks due to a foot fracture, leading to his placement on injured reserve. The 38-year-old has recorded 25 points in 50 games this season, ranking second among the team’s defenders. This injury follows another setback for Jack St. Ivany, who is out after hand surgery, leaving the Penguins with only six healthy blueliners. Fortunately, Letang’s absence coincides with the NHL’s Olympic break, limiting his missed games to five if recovery goes as planned.
