Connor McDavid recorded five assists, and Leon Draisaitl scored a hat trick as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Calgary Flames 5-1 before the holiday break. The Oilers improved to 19-13-6, winning four of their last five games, with McDavid extending his point streak to 11 games. Draisaitl’s three goals brought him past Glenn Anderson in franchise history, while Edmonton’s power play continued to excel at 33.3%. Flames’ Mackenzie Weegar scored the lone goal for Calgary, who fell to 15-18-4.
