SAN JOSE – The Sharks’ three-game home winning streak ended with a lopsided 7-1 loss to the Washington Capitals, led by Alex Ovechkin, who scored two goals, including his 910th career goal. Rookie goalie Yaroslav Askarov struggled early as the Sharks fell into a deep deficit, marking one of their worst losses of the season and dropping them to seventh place in the West.
