In an interview with The Athletic, Chicago Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson discussed the team’s offseason strategy, emphasizing their approach to the NHL Draft and free agency. With the third overall pick, Davidson indicated the team plans to select the best player available, avoiding traditional prospect dinners as they find little value in them. While he acknowledged the need for significant additions to support young talents like Connor Bedard, he stressed that any moves must align with the team’s long-term strategy and that acquiring quality NHL players may be challenging due to a rising salary cap.
