On May 30, 2025, the Seattle Kraken announced the signing of defenseman Josh Mahura to a two-year, one-way contract extension with an average annual value of $907,500. In the 2024–25 season, Mahura played 64 games, contributing nine assists, 89 hits, and 54 blocked shots, while previously being part of the Florida Panthers’ 2024 Stanley Cup-winning roster. The 27-year-old defenseman has accumulated 255 NHL games with 54 points and 21 playoff appearances since being drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in 2016.
