Evening Notes: Lamoriello, Marchenko, Garland, Lightning

Although longtime General Manager Lou Lamoriello was seen at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, it is not related to any rumors of joining the Buffalo Sabres, despite TSN’s Darren Dreger reporting the team’s interest in him for a front office role. Lamoriello, who has a lengthy career in the New York/Niagara area, is unlikely to replace Kevyn Adams as General Manager, especially with the 2025 NHL Draft approaching, but the Sabres lack a President of Hockey Operations. Additionally, Kirill Marchenko reaffirmed his commitment to the Columbus Blue Jackets, while Conor Garland expressed optimism about the Vancouver Canucks’ future despite a challenging season, and the Tampa Bay Lightning are moving to a new broadcast agreement with E. W. Scripps Company.
