The Toronto Maple Leafs recently interviewed Dallas Eakins, a former NHL head coach for the Anaheim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers, as part of their coaching search led by GM John Chayka and advisor Mats Sundin. Eakins, currently coaching Adler Mannheim in Germany, has significant AHL experience and a history of developing players. Despite lacking playoff success in the NHL, he aims to leverage Toronto’s talent for greater achievements. His familiarity with the demanding Toronto market may also be advantageous if hired.
