A number of NFL teams are exploring the possibility of bringing quarterback Derek Carr out of retirement, following increasing interest during the season due to injuries to other quarterbacks, including the Bengals’ Joe Burrow. Carr retired in May due to a labral tear and rotator cuff damage, but has since rehabilitated and is now throwing without limitations. The New Orleans Saints still hold Carr’s rights and could seek compensation for a trade if he decides to return. Over his 11-year career, Carr started 169 games, earning four Pro Bowl nominations and passing for over 41,000 yards.
