Barnes, an 11-year MLB veteran who spent his entire career with the Dodgers, posted a .518 OPS in 44 plate appearances last season. Over his career, he has a .660 OPS, with 35 home runs and strong defensive skills in blocking and framing. Francisco Alvarez is expected to be the starting catcher, with Luis Torrens as the backup.
