Former New Jersey Devils forward Stefan Matteau has been hired as an assistant coach for the Cleveland Monsters, the AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets, following his retirement from hockey in May. The 31-year-old replaces Mark Letestu on Trent Vogelhuber’s coaching staff after a 13-year pro career spanning multiple NHL teams, where he recorded 11 points in 92 games.
