The Anaheim Ducks have signed 2024 second-round draft pick Lucas Pettersson to a three-year, entry-level contract. After a challenging start in the SHL, Pettersson excelled in the HockeyAllsvenskan, scoring 19 points in 26 games and showcasing his offensive skills, which helped him earn a solid draft position with 27 goals and 57 points in 44 J20 games. As he prepares for a potential future in North America, another year in the SHL with MoDo Hockey is expected to further develop his talents in an environment favorable to Swede players.
