Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche has won the James Norris Memorial Trophy for the second time, recognizing him as the top defenseman in the NHL. The award, presented by the Professional Hockey Writers Association, acknowledges Makar’s outstanding performance, including leading all defensemen with 30 goals, 62 assists, and 92 points this season. Makar received 176 of 191 first-place votes, solidifying his status among notable multiple winners before age 27, including legends like Bobby Orr and Erik Karlsson.
