Finnish forward Rasmus Kupari, 25, has signed a two-year contract with HC Lugano, aiming to enhance his career as a two-way player after spending five seasons in the NHL and AHL. Lugano GM Janick Steinmann expressed confidence in Kupari’s ability to excel offensively and adapt well to the National League. Previously drafted 20th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in 2018, Kupari has played 217 NHL games, achieving 14 goals and 24 assists, and was instrumental in Finland’s gold medal at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championships.
