The Buffalo Sabres announced the hiring of Jarmo Kekalainen as a senior advisor to general manager Kevyn Adams. Kekalainen, the first European GM in NHL history, previously led the Columbus Blue Jackets from 2013 to 2024, guiding them to the postseason five times in seven years. Adams praised Kekalainen’s extensive experience in scouting and management, stating he is an ideal fit to enhance the Sabres’ front office, where he joins associate GM Jason Karmanos as one of the most experienced members.
