The Colts have claimed defensive tackle Eric Johnson II off waivers from the Patriots, waiving safety Marcel Dabo in the process and designating tight end Maximilian Mang as an exempt/international player, who will not count against the offseason roster. Johnson, a fifth-round pick in 2022, returns to Indianapolis after playing 11 games for New England last season, totaling 17 tackles, while Dabo, who joined the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2022, previously played in the European League of Football. Mang, an undrafted free agent from Syracuse, compiled nine receptions for 60 yards and one touchdown in college and has a background in the German Football League.
