Tim Stützle is set to join the German national team for the IIHF World Championship, as confirmed by the German Ice Hockey Association. Team manager Christian Künast expressed gratitude to the Ottawa Senators for allowing his participation, while coach Harold Kreis welcomed Stützle as a key addition to the roster. To accommodate him, veteran Marcel Noebels has been cut from the team, leaving Germany with three active NHL players and Stützle expected to debut in their third game against Norway.
