The Carolina Hurricanes will start goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov in Game 5 of their playoff series against New Jersey, as Frederik Andersen is ruled out due to an upper-body injury. Andersen, who had a strong postseason with a 1.59 goals-against average, was injured during a recent game, and coach Rod Brind’Amour confirmed Kochetkov’s readiness despite his previous struggles. Kochetkov, who has experience as a reliable goalkeeper, will aim to help the team clinch the series after a challenging end to the regular season.
