Jets rookie running back Chip Trayanum was injured on the last play of the first half during a preseason game against the Giants, when linebacker Trace Ford hit him as he received a handoff from quarterback Cade Klubnik. Trayanum was treated on the field for several minutes and appeared to be wearing a neck brace as he was carted off. He had 12 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown, along with two receptions for 25 yards, before the injury. Although he is headed to the hospital, the Jets report that Trayanum is awake, alert, and has movement in his extremities.
