Rangers Extend Vincent Iorio’s Contract for One Year

The New York Rangers have re-signed defenseman Vincent Iorio to a one-year, two-way contract worth $850,000 in the NHL and $125,000 in the AHL. Iorio, who was claimed off waivers from the San Jose Sharks on January 31, recorded three points in 27 games with the Rangers last season. With the team’s recent additions and re-signings, Iorio faces stiff competition for a roster spot as training camp approaches. Before joining the Rangers, he also played for the Washington Capitals.
