Trabzonspor has reportedly contacted Italian coach Stefano Pioli regarding his availability while simultaneously advancing negotiations with Senol Gunes for the managerial position. The Turkish Super Lig is increasingly focused on Italian talent, having already signed notable players from Serie A. After a disappointing start to the season and a poor performance in the Europa League, Trabzonspor is seeking a new coach following the exit of Fatih Tekke. Pioli, who turns 61 soon, has been without a job since being sacked by Fiorentina in November 2025.
