In front of over 41,000 fans at Citizens Bank Park, Luzardo struck out ten batters using his fastball and signature sweeper, allowing only two hits and no walks in eight scoreless innings. The game was secured when Kyle Schwarber hit a home run in the eighth, providing Luzardo with the lead he needed.
