BlackSun’s chief strategy officer, Nick Rathod, emphasized the importance of local community involvement in the bid and aims to ensure the franchise remains in the Pacific Northwest. The proposed site will include a comprehensive mobility plan and an entertainment district. One Roof Sports and Entertainment, associated with the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, is the other known bidder for the franchise.
