The Carolina Panthers have signed veteran linebacker Tyrel Dodson to their practice squad after he was released by the Miami Dolphins during roster cuts. Miami drafted Jacob Rodriguez, which contributed to Dodson’s departure despite a strong 2025 season where he recorded 129 tackles and five sacks. Dodson, 27, was previously undrafted and had a tumultuous career with the Bills before moving to the Seahawks and then the Dolphins. He had been under a two-year, $8.25 million contract with Miami before his release.
