Steelers Release DL Dean Lowry

The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to release veteran defensive lineman Dean Lowry as part of their roster cuts to the 53-player limit. Lowry, a former fourth-round pick by the Packers in 2016, has had a tumultuous career, including a two-year stint with the Vikings before joining the Steelers. Over the last season, he played 12 games, recording five tackles, one sack, and one pass defense. Lowry’s recent contract with Pittsburgh was renewed in May 2024 before this release decision.
