Sheffield Wednesday has signed 24-year-old Iraqi striker Ali Al-Hamadi on a season-long loan from Ipswich Town. Al-Hamadi, who played in all three of Iraq’s matches at the 2026 World Cup, scored once in 13 League One appearances while on loan at Luton Town last season. He expressed excitement about joining the club, stating it’s a significant opportunity. He may debut for Sheffield Wednesday in their upcoming home game against Bromley.
