The SEC unanimously voted 16-0 to prohibit players who declare for the NBA but fail to withdraw appropriately from participating in the conference. Additionally, schools cannot roster players who have signed NBA or G League contracts or appeared on their rosters. Commissioner Greg Sankey will enforce this rule with yet-to-be-announced penalties. This decision follows a day after RJ Luis Jr. received an injunction to play for LSU, despite his prior contracts with the Jazz and the Celtics’ G League affiliate.
