With 57 days until the season starts, Portland guard Shaedon Sharpe has suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee during a workout and will be sidelined for six months, missing most of the upcoming season. Last year, Sharpe averaged 20.8 points and 4.3 rebounds over 50 games but struggled with a stress fracture in his left fibula. Despite Sharpe’s absence, the Trail Blazers have a deep roster of guards including Damian Lillard and Jrue Holiday. Sharpe is entering the first year of a four-year, $90 million contract.
