The Los Angeles Dodgers plan to call up Alek Thomas from Triple-A Oklahoma City to replace Andy Pages, who will be out for 4-5 weeks due to a broken hand. Thomas, a former Diamondbacks player, will make his Dodgers debut after a strong performance in the minors, hitting .296 with an .855 OPS. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts emphasized the need for strong center field defense, a position Thomas is familiar with. This move provides the team with a left-handed-hitting option to fill Pages’ role.
