Za’Darius Smith’s NFL Journey Continues
Veteran NFL pass rusher Za’Darius Smith, 33, has signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons after a brief retirement following his stint with the Philadelphia Eagles. Previously, he played five games with the Eagles in 2025, recording 1.5 sacks before announcing his retirement. Smith, a three-time Pro Bowler, aims to bolster the Falcons’ pass-rush depth after recent player injuries and suspensions. In 2024, he had nine sacks and 35 tackles while playing for the Vikings and Browns.
