The Texas Rangers have outrighted right-hander Luis Curvelo to Triple-A Round Rock after he cleared waivers following his designation for assignment. Originally signed by the Mariners in 2018, Curvelo has struggled in the majors with a 7.06 ERA over 29 1/3 innings and has seen a decline in his minor league performance this season, posting an 8.42 ERA in 25 2/3 Triple-A innings. As this is his first outright and he has under three years of service time, he remains under the Rangers as non-roster depth. Curvelo will be eligible for minor league free agency at the end of the season if not added back to the roster.
